Continuous variable multimode quantum states via symmetric group velocity matching

چکیده

Configurable and scalable continuous variable quantum networks for measurement-based information protocols or multipartite communication schemes can be obtained via parametric down conversion (PDC) in non-linear waveguides. In this work, we exploit symmetric group velocity matching (SGVM) to engineer the properties of squeezed modes PDC. We identify type II PDC a single waveguide as best suited process, since multiple with non-negligible amount squeezing obtained. explore, first time, dimensions, usually only set ensure single-mode guiding, an additional design parameter ensuring indistinguishability signal idler fields. investigate here potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP), which offers SGVM at telecommunications wavelengths, but our approach applied any material pump wavelength. This work paves way towards engineering future large-scale regime.

Multimode uncertainty relations and separability of continuous variable states.

A multimode uncertainty relation (generalizing the Robertson-Schrödinger relation) is derived as a necessary constraint on the second moments of n pairs of canonical operators. In turn, necessary conditions for the separability of multimode continuous variable states under (m+n)-mode bipartitions are derived from the uncertainty relation. These conditions are proven to be necessary and sufficie...

Continuous-Variable Triple-Photon States Quantum Entanglement.

We investigate the quantum entanglement of the three modes associated with the three-photon states obtained by triple-photon generation in a phase-matched third-order nonlinear optical interaction. Although the second-order processes have been extensively dealt with, there is no direct analogy between the second and third-order mechanisms. We show, for example, the absence of quantum entangleme...

Continuous variable quantum cryptography using coherent states.

We propose several methods for quantum key distribution (QKD) based on the generation and transmission of random distributions of coherent or squeezed states, and we show that they are secure against individual eavesdropping attacks. These protocols require that the transmission of the optical line between Alice and Bob is larger than 50%, but they do not rely on "sub-shot-noise" features such ...

Quantum cloning of continuous-variable entangled states

We consider the quantum cloning of continuous variable entangled states. This is achieved by introducing two symmetric entanglement cloning machines or e-cloners : a local e-cloner and a global e-cloner; where we look at the preservation of entanglement in the clones under the condition that the fidelity of the clones is maximized. These cloning machines are implemented using simple linear opti...
